Aleister Crowley

nedjelja, 27. veljače 2011.

Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was a British author, mystic, poet and advocate of sexual freedom. Today is perhaps best known as a "prophet" Book of the Law - the central sacred text of Thelema - and founder of its own system of spiritual progress that has been called Magick.

Crowley was not a saint in the Puritan sense of the word. He is known as a misogynist, racist and Egomaniac. He kept leaving his friends and associates during his life he was addicted to several drugs, he died in poverty because of their large inheritance has long been spent. Despite a mastery of English, his literary texts are inconsistent, full of exaggerations and incessant
fabrication.

Despite all its flaws, no one can deny his genius at revealing a coherent and accessible system for all spiritual accomplishments, today's great popularity and presence of occult, esoteric Hermeticism and we can thank the arrogance and the perseverance of this man to uncover the mysteries and techniques that were stored for centuries and make them widely available.
